Layers of Light

This picture personifies the concept of layered lighting.
There is recessed lighting for general ambient lighting,
accent lighting over the fireplace so the wreath doesn't get lost,
and table lamps for reading.  The lamps have the electrical cord
at the top by the socket--it's a look.
There is also candle light. Oh, and don't forget the beautiful
chandelier.  With all the different types of lighting, you can
program different "scenes" for reading, dressing, sleeping
and romance.  I don't know about you, but I love options.

I was so busy looking at the lighting I forgot to comment
on just how pretty this room is.  The pale blue walls, white
molding and wood floors make for a classically beautiful space.

  1. This room is very pretty. Your right about the lighting. Good lighting can add so much to a room.

  2. Ok Cindy I have one thing to say...BIGGER PICTURES PLEASE. That room is gorgeous and I've never heard of potlights in a bedroom. Of course I've never seen a bedroom that size and probably never will. Enjoy your football this weekend my friend!

  3. Cindy,

I love how the different lighting highlights all the areas. The lighting is soft and not at all harsh. This is a beautiful bedroom!
