Santa Barbara Beach House

In case you missed reading your copy of Veranda, I thought this was
so beautiful that it warranted some additional press.  This home
was designed by Hallberg & Wiseley and photographed by Miguel
Flores-Vianna.

Because this is a blog that focuses on lighting, I usually try to talk
about the fixtures and portables.  This is the exception.
This home has minimal electric light and depends largely on
California's amazing sunlight.  How green is that??

  2. Love the mix of natural drift wood with everything it's really a pretty home. Wish we could depend on natural light but this time of year in New England that isn't going to happen!

  3. Pretty images. I bet it feels weird around Christmas with weather so warm and so much sunlight. While we have a lot of sunny days here in Texas, the temperatures do turn pretty cold here in December...we even get some snow!

  4. Oh, this makes me miss my native southern California so much! When I was a little girl, I remember my mom telling me not to wear a turtleneck in January because the weather was too warm. I wish I could sink my freezing little toes into some warm sand right now!

    Great post!
